Welcome to Yadkin County Schools School Nutrition!
Yadkin County Schools is committed to providing nutritious breakfast and lunch meals that meet all USDA nutrition standards.
 
Meal Prices: Due to waivers granted by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Yadkin County Schools will continue to provide breakfast and lunch meals at no cost throughout the 2021/2022 school year. 
 
YCS Student Meals During Quarantine: 
Have a student under quarantine? Beginning September 7, 2021 you may pick-up meals for your student(s) Monday through Friday between 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. via curbside at one of the following Elementary locations: 
1) Yadkinville Elementary
2) West Yadkin Elementary
3) East Bend Elementary
4) Jonesville Elementary
To register, please click the link below and complete the google form. Be prepared to give your student's name, school ID number, and home school information upon registration. Meals will include 1 breakfast and 1 lunch meal for that serving day.

Meal Benefits: Breakfast and lunch meals are currently free for all students. However, families are still encouraged to apply for Free/Reduced Priced Meals to prevent a disruption in benefits. This information is also used to approve households for PEBT benefits. To apply, go to www.lunchapplication.com and follow the prompts. A printable application is available on the website, and a limited number of paper applications will be available at each school site. See below flyer for more information.

Juice and a variety of milk is offered at all schools daily for breakfast.  Water is available free of charge at all schools, at all meals. A variety of milk is also offered daily at lunch. 

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, religious creed, disability, age, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA. 

 

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits.  Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.  Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

 

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: How to File a Complaint, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
